Founded by passionate animal advocates, Freeport Animal Shelter, Inc. began as a small community effort to rescue abandoned animals, growing into a vital resource for homeless and abused pets in need of love and care.
We serve a diverse community of pet owners, animal lovers, and compassionate individuals committed to rescuing and providing homes for animals that have faced neglect or abandonment.
Our dedication has been recognized through several awards, including the Community Service Award and Best Nonprofit of the Year, highlighting our commitment to animal welfare and community engagement.
Thanks to Freeport Animal Shelter, my family found our beloved dog, Max. The shelter’s support and guidance made the adoption process a true joy!
